I am a UK based artist and illustrator that creates highly detailed drawings. They begin as ink drawings but are then sometimes coloured in photoshop.
I want viewers to have a strong reaction to my work. I think that by creating images of familiar faces and places the viewer may engage that much more quickly. The viewer may then be preoccupied with things like composition, mark making, and elements that have been omitted or added. I believe this adds a kind of universality to my work.
I plan to continue to create my work in series as I think when you see a run of images together you get a better sense of the state of the artist when the work is completed, and also a sense of time. Many of the future series I have planned are based around Blackpool.
